Hennepin County Veterinary Member Clinics Working Together to Serve People Who are  Blind, Disabled, or Elderly and Have Limited Financial Resources

Over thirty years ago veterinarians in Hennepin County recognized the impact that a pet can have on the quality of life and well-being of a person who is blind, disabled, or elderly. The Animal Care Foundation was formed to serve this group of people who were also in financial need. Today the organization continues to provide a way for veterinary member clinics to give back to the community, advance human and animal health, and promote the human-animal bond. In the future, the Animal Care Foundation hopes to extend its services to all counties in Minnesota.

Member clinics donate veterinary care for the pets of persons who are blind, disabled, or elderly and in financial need. The Animal Care Foundation Coordinator helps applicants determine if they are eligible and refers them to veterinary member clinics. More information is available on this website.
